Jennifer
McCool -
Jennifer joined the firm in 2004 and is the real estate
closer for all residential purchase and refinance transactions
in the downtown
Charleston
office. Jennifer received an undergraduate degree in Business
from Salisbury University, as well as an MBA from The
Citadel. With over ten years experience in various capacities
of real estate legal work, such as a settlement agent for a
Maryland title company and a real estate paralegal for this
firm and others, Jennifer’s knowledge is an asset to the firm
and its clients.
William J. (Billy) Hennessy, Jr. -
Born in Charleston in 1951,
Billy graduated Bishop England High School before moving
on to the University of South Carolina to obtain his B.S.
and law degree. Returning home to Charleston, Billy
practiced as a solo practitioner from 1976 until forming
Dodds & Hennessy in 1980 with his friend and cousin Larry Dodds.
Billy is the managing partner of the Charleston Office, a
former municipal judge, and a member of the South Carolina
and Charleston County Bar Associations.

David F. Santos -
Born and raised in Charleston, David
graduated from Bishop England High School before receiving a
Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the College of Charleston.
David attended law school in Birmingham, Alabama, at Samford
University's Cumberland School of Law. He joined Dodds &
Hennessy in 2006 and is an associate with the downtown
Charleston office. David is a member of
the South Carolina and Charleston County Bar Associations.
Lyle Perkins -
Lyle joined the firm as a paralegal in 1992 and serves as the
Office Manager of the Charleston Office.
A South Carolina native, she received an
undergraduate degree from the
College
of Charleston
in Psychology. After 17
years with the firm, Lyle possesses valuable experience and
knowledge in all types of residential and commercial real
estate transactions.
She also assists Billy and David in servicing clients in her
paralegal capacity in all areas of our practice.

Karen Newman

Karen joined the firm in 2005 and serves as the closing
coordinator for the downtown
Charleston
office. Her duties include title orders, scheduling closings,
and other general pre-closing matters for real estate
transactions. Karen's broad range of business contacts and
background in the insurance and real estate industries are
valuable assets to this firm. Karen also possesses over
fourteen years of real estate legal experience.
Becky Weigand
-
Becky has been our title abstractor since joining the firm in
1984. Becky assists our paralegals and attorneys in all
matters regarding searching, interpreting, and confirming the
accuracy of the public records affecting the title to real
estate. Becky's attention to detail, 25 years experience, and
local "on the ground" knowledge is an unmatched resource to
our clients. Becky's reputation for excellence is widely known
and well deserved.
